How the Journey Began...
I created Wacky Wonky Books, LLC to launch my first children’s book – “The Adventures of Wacky and Wonky – A Brand New World”. The freedom and independence to publish the types of books and content near and dear to my heart was the foundation of building my “indie” publishing company. I always dreamed I would publish a book, but I never envisioned creating my own publishing company. But alas…life is an adventure!
With time, I hope this little grass-roots company grows to become a bigger and well-respected publisher for authors that are fiercely independent and willing to travel uncharted territory.
I am currently working on other books that I will be launching in the very near future – children’s books, biographies, poetry, short stories and more. There will hopefully be a little something for everyone.

About the Author:
S. Leigh Stewart – An Arizona transplant now living in the Midwest, I drew my
inspiration for Wacky and Wonky from my robust homestead of horses, dogs, chickens,
ducks, turkeys, pigs, a couple barn cats, lovely garden, and excursions on the trail riding
my horses. I began writing stories, poems and songs at a very young age, and often I
was found with my nose buried in a book. My love for writing has always been very
strong, and it has always served as the best outlet for me to express my thoughts and
feelings. I have written professionally for over ten years for local and state
organizations and municipalities and found combining my love of writing with program
and project development was a win-win for all.
I have no shortage of story inspiration from this crazy little circus I attempt to manage
along with my experiences in Arizona and my Midwest life. The Adventures of Wacky
and Wonky – A Brand New World, features Rootie the Rooster which is a real character
on the homestead. There are more Wacky and Wonky adventures to come, and all of
them will feature my amazing animals that I am so very lucky to love and care for.
I am fulfilling one of my greatest lifelong dreams – to be a published author. Thank you
for coming along on this incredible journey with me. I hope you find my books worthy of
your time, and that perhaps they will inspire you in some way.

About the Illustrator:
C. Kay Stewart – Born in Michigan, I moved to Southern Arizona when I was seven, and
have called Arizona home ever since. Creativity has always coursed through my blood,
and I have spent most of my life satisfying my love for art through painting, jewelry making, decorating, tile work, murals…and many more unique and inspiring projects. I
have expressed my creativity as a professional cosmetologist and artisan for many
years, and I tap into my inspiration from the flora and fauna of the desert to produce
much of my artwork.
I feel I have truly been blessed with a remarkable gift that I should share with others.
When I create, I am in my happy place. This path I am walking as an illustrator is a new
one, but I am excited to see where it takes me. I truly hope you enjoy my illustrations
just as much as I enjoyed making them for you.
